But when I was tasked with finding a new way to tell a real, human story for the holidays in a less traditional way, AI became a real topic of conversation.
That’s when a little nutcracker turned into a big idea.

Real Lower Prices™
CVS wanted to show customers that we heard them when they said our prices were too high. So we lowered 1,000s of them in Raleigh, NC. No, really.
This omni-channel campaign was a trial run to test the success of a new pricing structure.
The findings are what led to, the now massively popular, Extra Big Deals (up next).

Though successful in Raleigh, Real Lower Prices proved to be challenging to scale at the national level. So, we took what we learned and created Extra Big Deals.
This omni-channel campaign was launched in a matter of weeks and has proven to be one of the most successful sales-drivers in CVS history.
